Fireflies
Don't bite or sting
Or buzz
Build webs
Or hum
The worst they'll do
Is tickle you
If they land on your thumb
No
Fireflies do not annoy
Instead
They bring delight and joy
Dark summer nights
They gleam and glow
As they perform
Their twinkling show

They rarely take
But gladly give
These fireflies
Know how to live
