That you matter?
Did anyone ever tell you
That you're smart?
Did anyone ever tell you
That you really can succeed
If you do your best
And you believe
With all your heart?

Did anyone ever tell you
You're a wonder?
Did anyone ever tell you
That you're good?
Did anyone ever tell you
That you truly are a gift?
Because if no one's ever told you
Someone should.

Did anyone ever tell you
You have choices
And that what you make of life
Is up to you?
Did anyone ever tell you
That each moment of each day
Is a chance
To recreate yourself anew?

Did anyone ever tell you
That you're loved
And that hatred
Is nothing but a sham?

If no one's ever told you
Any of these things before
You can't say that anymore
Because I am.
